Death toll in the UAE stands at seven and 145 people were injured since war erupted in the Middle East on February 28, the country’s Ministry of Defence said on Monday.

Air defences in the UAE successfully dealt with 6 ballistic missiles and 21 drones launched from Iran on March 16, the 17th day in the US-Israel-Iran war.

The UAE’s Ministry of Defence reaffirmed its full readiness and state of high alert to confront any threats. It further stressed its commitment to responding firmly to any attempts to destabilize the nation’s security, ensuring the protection of the UAE’s sovereignty, national interests, and strategic assets.

Since the beginning of Iranian attacks on the UAE, air defences have responded to 304 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,627 drones.

The seven fatalities include 2 members of the Armed Forces and five individuals of Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, and Palestinian nationalities were killed.

Injuries recorded so far range from minor to critical and the vicims are nationals of the following countries: The UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Turkey, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia, and Sweden.
